Visio hangs when attempting to edit a master in a document.

With Visio 2007, I've got the Drawing Explorer Window open. I right-click on
a data graphic master ("Colored Shapes" -- using the example from your book,
David). When I select Edit Master Shape, Visio hangs at approx. 50% CPU
utilization. This occurs on multiple PCs.

BTW, this problem is not specific to data graphic masters. The same hang
occurs if I attempt to edit shape masters from the flowchart or other
stencils.

Am I missing something? Is there an alternate way to edit the master that
will work around this problem?

My ears have pricked up!!
Are you saying that Edit Master Master in any document stencil (not just the
ones I created) causes this problem?
I assume you have the Professional Edition?
What Operating System?
How much RAM?
