Visio interactive capability

Micrografx FlowCharter 7 had "Living Flowcharts" using
an "entity" to track the process flow as data was entered
or recieved. This was very convenient and easy to use
without any significant programing. Does Visio have any
similar capabilities? After much searching on your
websites and reading Visio 2002 Inside & Out, I cannot
truly determine any interactive Visio capabilities of the
software without extensive VB/VBA programing.
