Visio is pegging the procesor

Mike

Visio has pegged the processor after a change has been
made and now looks as though it is not responding, but in
processes, the Visio process is pegging the processor.

This is a brand new installation of Visio2002 Pro?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

What operation were you performing and what kind of drawing were you working
with?

This was working within a Visio Drawing make a change you
would do a preview and it would hang there, or sometimes
just when the drawing was opened.

There isn't much to go on here. If you are saying that Print Preview can
hang the machine, you might experiment with a different default printer or
no printer installed on the machine at all. Visio can be overly sensitive
to network latency if your printer is not local.

There is a network Printer that is setup on the PC it has
never given us any fits.
The older version of VISIO that was on it was working
before and got uninstalled upon reinstallation this
problem started, the professional version has been
installed to see if it was a version issue. And still it
does not work.

We have tried 3 different printers including a local
printer and all with the same result.

If a specific drawing is causing the problem, feel free to e-mail me a copy
to analyze. Just remove the "online" from my address.

I do not know what to tell you because we can not open
other drawings on that PC but if I open it on my PC they
open just fine. I have installed it on a few others and
it opens as well.
