Hello!
I am using MS Visio 2002 to generate figures and illustrations for an MS
Word 2002 document. I am able to import the MS Visio 2002 figures as
"live links" in the MS Word 2002 document, and that interface works very
well.
However, I have noticed the following:
1). I am able to double-click the MS Visio 2002 figure in MS Word 2002
and edit it.
2). I am able to save the figure and the edits are saved, too. (Yeah!)
3). When I open the figure within MS Visio 2002, a lot of windows open
up that seem to reflect the number of times the file was opened and
edited by double-clicking the figure in MS Word 2002.
This problem can prevent the MS Visio 2002 figure from opening on some
computers (some figures have >30 revisions over the course of 2 years).
It also makes it difficult to work with several different files at the
same time from within MS Visio 2002. (If two files have more than 10
revisions, it is very hectic trying to find the correct revision in the
window list.)
Has anyone encountered this type of problem? If so, is there a way to
configure MS Visio 2002 so that these 'revisions' aren't saved?
Regards,
Thomas M.
