Visio Off-Page References - In Another Workbook

Is it possible to link off-page references in visio to another
workbook? I have multiple off-page references both within and outside
of the work book I am in. I would like to have the dynamic links both
internally and externally. When I drag the off-page reference icon
onto the page, the dialogue box that opens only allows a link to a new
page within the workbook or an existing page within the workbook. How
can I link to another workbook?

rather than the off page connector, consider using hyperlinks

Can I hyperlink the off-page reference? I want to have the
consistency of using the same symbol for all off-page references but I
haven't been able to make the off-page reference into a hyperline and
still retain the shape and look of the symbol.
