Visio Organisational charts: count staff?

Hello !

I have been using visio for some time now to generate org charts and
find that using the wizard to import data from a spreadsheet i
excellent.

One thing is missing though ! Any chance of being able to dynamicall
get how many people are line managed by any given member of staff ?

There must be a way (or hoping so) to do this using vba , but i wouldn
even know where to start looking ... any suggestions ?

You could start from "Developing Microsoft Visio Solutions" at

You would be interested in the number of the shapes connected under the
managers, so you would be interested in applying connect object.
