Visio PIA not used

J

John Murray

I have downloaded the Office PIAs from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...1E-3060-4F71-A6B4-01FEBA508E52&displaylang=en
and installed them.

However, when I add Visio as a reference to a Visual Studio project (in 2003
and 2005), the reference file for Visio does not reference the GAC. Rather,
it references a forced file in the Program Files directory.

I noticed a couple of posts on this topic from years past, but neither of
the authors ever got satisfactory answers. Has anyone been able to solve
this problem?

Thanks,

John

The best way is to add Visio programmability feature in adding component to
your Visio installation with the original setup.
If you install .NET framework before Visio, the Visio programmability
feature will be installed automatically.
