Visio - please can you help???

I have a Visio diagram that has hyperlinks in it to Word documents and these
work great except when I convert the Visio to a PDF none of the hyperlinks
work. Please can anyone help??? The people I am sending the file to do not
have visio so I need to convert it to PDF.

What version Visio?
How are you converting to PDF?
Do you have more than one hyperlink per shape?
Could your user download the free Visio Viewer so that you can send native
Visio files?

I cant help you but you maybe able to help me. I am trying to insert a
hyperlink ( a word document) into a sentence in a process diagram but cannot
work out how to do it.
