Visio Print Preview displays blank tile

I'm using Visio 2002 at work (limited to that version). I'm trying to print
a Gantt chart. When I select Print Preview the print screen displays a blank
page or tile. When I close the Print Preview the Gantt chart displays with
all the tasks.

I have not found a solution in the archives or in Visio Help.

Any suggestions?

consider that you may be printing to multiple pages and page 1 is blank???
check for more pages that may display an image

I'm sure I checked for that possibility. I selected multiple tiles
with no change. I clicked next page arrows, I scrolled to the ends of
the document, I turned on page breaks.

Strange thing is I tried a smaller test doc that I created 2 days ago
and was able to print that. So it is something specific to this one
Visio document.

The doc is mostly the Tasks so I might create a new Visio Gantt
document and populate it with the tasks.

I fire up my work laptop tomorrow and try that and post un update.

Thanks to all,

The Print option is checked.

Ok, have you checked menu File -> Page Setup
tab Print Setup -> paper size and print zoom
tab Page Size
tab Drawing Scale

What about if you create a new diagram of, say, basic shapes. Does
that print?
Even though the Print Preview is blank, what does an actual print do?

What type of printer? Do you have the latest printer drivers?

I'll power up my company laptop and create a new doc. I work for a
large company and I'm sure we have all the latest print drivers. The
printers have been operational for at least 8 months. There are no
other problems and I was able to print a Gantt chart I created first
with just 20 tasks. I'm sure I did something to the document that is
hiding the chart in Print Preview.

I should have an update tomorrow. Just finished working out and need
to leave early for a concert tonight so tomorrow is better.

I created a new Gantt chart document and I now see the chart in Print
Preview.

What I need is a link to a good tutorial. I was able to print out the
Gantt chart yesterday but I did not save the changes I made,
preferring to start with a baseline drawing each time. Today when I
select Print Preview my document displays the middle of my chart and I
can't scroll to the beginning.

Visio just doesn't have the usual Microsoft intuitive user
friendliness, at least version 2002.

I will appreciate if you can refer me to some documentation that will
teach me how to display a multiple page visio document.

I did a search of this discussion group's archives and someone with a
similar problem was told to use Microsoft Project. I exported the
Visio doc to MS Project and opened it with Project. I think I'll do
better with Project.

Thanks for your help.

Ed, do you want to send me a file so I can have a look?

Ed, do you want to send me a file so I can have a look?

The fixed file is on its way back to you, the chart was off the paper,
I just did Ctrl-A to select it all and dragged it back where it
belongs.
