Visio Samples

I am unable to open any of the 20 Visio Sample files (VisioSAM.exe) downloaded from Microsoft. I am running Visio for Enterprise Architects 2003 (v10.0.2705

I get the following error: "Cannot be opened because it was created with a newer or unrecognized version of Visio." I do not believe there is a newer version

Can anyone help?

the current visio 2003 ea is really a virtual visio 2002 (thus the v10
level). the real v2003 ea is supposed to arrive around 2004q1.

So, the samples are useless to everyone??

no, they work fine on visio 2003. It's just that the release of v2003ea came
before v2003 and they had to put v2002 under the covers of ea. John Marshall
has a more succinct means of explaining it.
