I have been using Visio for a while back in my uni days..... I'm deciding to
do some desktop publishing and I have been trying out adobe's pagemaker and
indesign.
I really believe Visio should step up research (and Visio should get $$$$)
so they can fufill this dream, afterall, from the short history I read, it
seems Visio creators were pageMaker designers.
I think it's important for microsoft to put a dent in web publishing (vs.
macromedia) and desktop publishing (vs. adobe). I don't really like
microsoft... because it's a big comglomerate, but Bill Gates seems like he
puts a lot of money in what I see as noble causes. So I hope you take this
suggestion seriously, and really try to start making a comparable product to
PageMaker. I myslef would push it to my friends.
Anyways, I'm seriously thinking of using Visio to do my desktop publishing,
and if any Microsoft People are serious in seeing the project when it's
complete, they are welcome to use it.
