visio stopped saving customized toolbars

my visio 2002 has suddenly stopped saving my toolbars. it reverts to a
default version everytime i open visio. if i make a new toolbar, or
customize a toolbar, the next time i open visio it is gone. any ideas. i
did run the detect and repair function under the help menu with no change.

where is the toolbar info saved? is there a configuration file that i can
back up and restore when i open visio. this seems like a stupid way to
operate, but i have been using the same toolbars for several years now, and
i would like to find a way to restore my regular toolbars when i open visio.

any help would be appreciated.

Did you just install or upgrade to Adobe Acrobat 6.0? Others have reported
problems with toolbar customizations disappearing in that scenario.
