visio stops responding when database model diagram selected

I have installed - more than once - visio for enterprise architect and
when I choose to open either a new database diagram or an existing one
the visio stops responding with no message. The problem is only noticed
with the database diagrams. I can open a new one - or an existing - uml
and any other diagram. Only database diagrams don't respond.

The same problem is noticed with the visio 2003 professional edition on
my machine.

I'm using windows x64 on an AMD 64 processor.

Anyone knows what's the problem?

Thanks in advance

Hello George,

Stopping the printer spooler service may resolve the issue. Please try that and let us know the results.

Thanks from me, too. Muchly. I was getting pretty frustrated with this pup.

But do we know why and if there's a better solution coming?

Again, though, thanks.
