Visio, Taskmap, and Sharepoint WSS 2003

I am having problems with Visio and Sharepoint.

We have a Visio plug-in called TaskMap (http://www.harvardcomputing.com) to
do process mapping. When opening a TaskMap Visio diagram from Sharepoint
(WSS 2003), it causes Visio to freeze and never open the file (leaving a
process in task manager consuming as much CPU as it can get). We can open
non-TaskMap Visio files out of SP just fine. Harvard Computing says we're
the first SP users to complain about or see this problem. This behavior
occurs in Windows Sharepoint Services and Sharepoint Portal Server sites.

Further testing was able to determine that the crash happens when the
diagram is opened by left-clicking the name of the document (which opens the
file read-only). If you right-click on the Sharepoint edit menu and select
"Edit in Visio", the document opens properly. Our local MS Sharepoint
contact says it sounds like an issue with the TaskMap template.

Harvard Computing has been very responsive in trying to help us figure this
out, we're just not having any luck. Has anyone else experienced a similar
problem?
