I'm going to be trying something at home this weekend but I'm curious if it's
going to be worth my effort.

I need to re-create the company's organizational chart. It's currently in a
PPT file but the text is so tiny that it's impossible to read. I have Visio
2003 Std at home but have never used it. From what MS tells me, this is the
*perfect* program for this chart. Fine - I'll give it a shot.

Now, the fun part. We use Office 2000 here at work. Oh, and did I mention, I
don't have access to Visio here? Am I going to have to tweak and fold and
mutter under my breath for hours to get the chart into PPT 2000? It's okay if
it's not a one-click trick but I have too much work to do without adding a
lot more to it.

TIA............

The question then becomes do you want to perform all of your org chart
projects at home, since the editing functions between visio and powerpoint
are different. If you have a lot of charts cutting/pasting between the two
may get to be a chore as well.

since posting, I've learned that the GM's assisstant has Visio 2003 and
Office 2003. since she was the one who gave me this chore, one assumes she'll
be the one to keep it current. Especially since she has the proper tools. :)

It seems there are about five charts total. That's not too awful. It's not
like I have a life anyway - at least not outside of the MS newsgroups.
