Visio Update Problem

T

The Evil Mr. Jones

I am using Visio 2002 SR-1 Standard.

I have successfully installed the latest update for it, KB822212, yet
Office Update continually insists that I still need it. If I install
it from Office Update, the install is unsuccessful because it's
already installed (well, duh!)

I even went as far as uninstalling and reinstalling Visio. Office
Update once again said I needed the update, and it installed
successfully. Next time I checked Office Update, it says I need the
patch again. Reinstalling yields the same results (unsuccessful, patch
already installed). I am using Office XP Pro on an Athlon XP 2800+
with 1 gig of RAM under Windows XP.

Any ideas what's going on here?

See if clearing your internet explorer temporary file
cache and then revisiting http://office.microsoft.com/officeupdate
still shows that you don't have the Visio 2002 security
update installed.
