Visio Upgrade Licence Requirements

Hi,
I want to buy Visio Std 2007. I thought I found a table on the microsoft
site which said that owning a copy of Office (or one of a number of related
products) entitled you to buy an upgrade licence instead of the full more
expensive version. I can't find where I saw this table anymore and was
wondering whether I understood the table correctly.

Could anyone clarify this for me please. ie Does owning MS Office entitle
you to buy the upgrade licence?
If anyone know of the link to the table of requirements for an upgrade
licence that would also be appreciated.

The webpage Visio 2000 or later and that is not quite correct. It should say
any copy of Microsoft Visio. Visio Corp released a copy of Visio 2000 before
the acquisition and that one generally speaking does NOT qualify. If you
applied SR1 to that version, then it did qualify. SR1 was a large service
pack that was not available for download. It basically had some minor
patches and the bulk of the service pack was rebranding. Sticking the work
Microsoft all over the place.

So if your copy of Visio says Microsoft, then it qualifies for an upgrade.
One good thing was the general rule was that only the current and previous
version qualified for an upgrade, now there are three versions that
qualifiy, 2000, 2002 and 2003.
