I have a Windows 3.1 version of Visio (v 2.0c) I have used for years and
still do. I would like to upgrade this product. Can it be done or does one
have to re-purchase the full blown product?

TIA

If you intend to purchase from microsoft it will be the full current product
which definitely will not run on win3.1 and will probably require you to be
at least at
win2k....

Suprisingly enough, Visio 1 will work on Windows XP. As far as upgrading is
concerned, the oldest version of Visio that qualifies for an upgrade is
Visio 2000 SP1. This is the first version of Visio released by Microsoft or
the last version released by Visio with Service Pack 1.

So unless you can pick up a cheap copy of Visio 2000 SP1 or Visio 2002, you
will need to buy the full copy to upgrade.
