My first issue is the lack of a Find/Search feature
incorporated into Visio Viewer. As your probably aware,
it tries to use IE's find feature, and this results in
nothing being recognized at all. These diagrams on our
Intranet will need to be searchable because there will be
many, many hyperlinks involved and many will be very
large. If you have any ideas/suggestions, or know any one
who might, please let me know.
The second issue I'm having with Visio Viewer is its
inability to take me from, lets say a hyperlink on a
webpage, directly to a specific page within a Visio
document. Instead it will always default to the first
page in the document. For instance, Visio 2000 Standard
or 2002 allows me to use a (colon) : to indicate the
specific page that I want to reference in the document.
(i.e.. jobflow.vsd:thirdJob) I need to know if there is a
way to allow Viewer to do the same, or if there is a
better product to use. The ability to do this is vital to
my project.
Both of these issues could be potential show stoppers for
my project if not resolved. I would really appreciate any
input. Thanks much,
