Visio Viewer

I am working on a project that requires I look at three
dxf files. I may need to print or insert into Word also
(I have Office XP Small Business). I downloaded Visio
Viewer but am still unable to open the files. Is there
some type of graphics filter or viewer program that will
let me look at these drawings? This is one of those
sitations that may never come up again, so obviously I
don't want to invest in an expensive program that I'll
never use again.

Any ideas?

Adobe Illustrator will read .dxf you can download a demo at www.adobe.com
from there you can save to whatever filetype you like.
