Visio won't connect to internet for new shapes.

I get this message when searching for shapes ...
1. Visio Web Shapes - Unable to establish an Internet connection. Results
are limited to the shapes found on your computer. (To check your search
settings, on the Tools menu, click Options, and then view the Shape Search
tab.)

Needles to say, the internet is available!

the next obvious questions are firewalls/proxies/port filtering in the path?
what version of visio are you using?
