Visio won't open

Once I've created an organizational chart, save and close out I'm not able to
bring it up again. I get the organization chart processing 1 pages-loading
page 1 bar and it just hangs there. I have to end task to close out.

Any help would be appreciated

I have Visio 2000 Standard Edition

Here is a way to access the drawing, but you will not have any Org Chart
functionality. I would recommend this if you just want to salvage
information from the document or print it.

Under Tools > Options > Advanced tab, uncheck the Enable Automation Events
item. Then load your document. Once you are done with anything you want to
do with the document, you should re-check the option. Otherwise, Visio will
not work properly in other drawings.

Thanks, I'll try that. But the problem is this does this everytime I create
a new org chart. This is chart that doesn't even have color fill-ins yets.
Just the boxes.

Do I need to uninstall and reinstall?

I haven't come across this problem before, but that may be a good option.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. If it doesn't work, I'll go back to the older
version
