Visio/Word to PDF: text on flow chart appears as black, blocked li

Hi, does anyone know why this would be happening to a flow chart (created on
Visio 2003 and pasted into word 2003) when I print a word 2003 document as a
PDF on Acrobat 5? I have tried importing the flow chart as a wmf, emf, tif,
gif, - all the same; the text will not appear as it should.

Could anyone possibly suggest a workaround? Many thanks! C

One thing you might try in Word is:
Insert > Object > Create from File
Then navigate to the Visio file of interest. This embeds the flow chart in
the Word document in its (the flow chart's) native Visio format. I've had
fewer printing problems doing it this way. YMMV.

(I have Word 97 and Visio 2002. Things might differ a bit in the 2003
versions.)
