Visio2003: This page contains both secure and nonsecure items

Sven Weindel

Hi all,
when I want to start from an http web site (with frames / cgi) to an https
visio web site (with other frames) I get the error message 'This page
contains both secure and nonsecure items'.

After search in the net I found different causes and solutions (iframes set
to blank html sites etc).

Can anybody help me with this problem?

Thanks & regards,
Sven

Hello Sven,

that's a "problem" of the Browser. When I devolped some static Internet
pages I also get this problem. I had an secured webbased order process.
Within these pages where some "calls" to Macromedia for the Flashplayer.
These were normal "http://" calls. So I had to change these calls to https://
and the messenge didn't appear once again.

May be here's a similar problem...

I'd suggest you do the IE community group since it's an IE issue and not
visio.

I think here it's more a Visio problem because before in the past I generate
HTML files with Visio 5 and have no problems with the changes http <> https.
Now I use the HTML convertion with Visio2003 and I think that anything in
this new HTML coding have problems with the IE browser (perhaps the new
create JavaScript coding in the new convert HTML files?).

as I wrote to Bernhard I think it's more a Visio problem because in the past
I'd no problems with the changes http <> https after Visio HTML convertion.

Have (or Had) other people here the same problems?

Hello Sven,

please be so kind an have look at the generated sourcecode of the document.
As long as url's call "http://" AND "https://" links the browser always will
generate the message of "secured and unsecured elements" in the document.
AFAIK this message won't appear if all url's are http:// and https://
respectively.

the reason I suggested that it might be an IE issue is that I get that same
message on web sites that do not have visio as a component.
just a comment from the side,
