I work for a big organization with locations in many countries.
We have a guest from Dublin visiting us in Hong Kong.
This user was successful at logging onto the Dublin domain and in
getting to his Outlook/Exchange server.
His email appeared and began to download (he is almost at the size
limit).
It was taking awhile, so the user left for a few hours of meetings and
returned to see his computer "frozen." He could not CAD to exit,
so he cold booted the machine.
Now, he is unable to hit the Hong Kong domain at login. The logon
attempt fails almost immediately and no hourglass ever shows. He has
tried to log on more than enough times to lock out his account, but he
never is locked out.
I am able to ping the Hong Kong Exchange server, and a tech in Hong
Kong can ping my NIC.
I went in as Adm and deleted his local profile. It was at 198MEG, all
others were less than two Meg.
I deleted his local profile and got him to try logging in again. Still
no luck.
To try next???
I would like to have a help desk tech sign on as this user in Dublin,
and then gracefully log off. I feel this will overwrite and issue
created by the cold boot.
Any ideas???
Thank you.
