Vista for x64 snipping tool fails after Office 2007 SP2 installati

After installing Office SP2 on Vista for X64, the Vista snipping tool stopped
working. (I'm not saying that one caused the other, however.) The Windows
Tablet tools are installed, SnippingTool.exe exists in the correct directory,
but on run it says it is not working on my computer right now and that I
should reboot or contact my administrator. Reboot doesn't help and I'm the
admin.

The OneNote screen clipping action does work, but it doesn't have all the
options of the Vista Snipping Tool.

The computer is a quad-core Phenom with 8 GB of RAM. OS is Vista for x64
Home Premium SP1.

Any ideas?
