Vista Issue with duration getting zeroed out when outdenting tasks

I am trying to insert new rows into a MS Project plan saved down as MS
Project 2000 - 2003 (due to other users being on XP), but I am on Vista using
MS Project 2007 on this plan. I can insert a new row but when I do an
outdent or indent the task the duration of many other tasks below this new
task get zeroed out. The tasks above this new task seem to remain fine.
