Vista- office assistant blues

So I got my new computer round abouts to a month ago and I decided the other
day to turn on my office assistant. But then I got the same thing everyone
else seems to be complaining about. It claims to not have enough memory to
complete the operation. I know good and well I've got enough memory... Anyone
got any tips, ideas, I'm kind of getting sick of the paper clip...

While I didn't fix the problem, I did find that if you go to the add/remove
programs in the control panel, highlight your ms office, and then click the
change option (top of the box in vista) you can then choose the custom
install and then expand the office assistant tab so you can view the whole
gallery. Then just check the assistant you want and make all others
unavailable. The one you make available loads as a default when you open
your office the next time. It will still read there is not enough memory in
the gallery, but you will have the assistant you want.
BTW: I had the original install CD in the drive and I'm not sure if that is
required or not to change/modify the application.

Hope that helps!

Not a fix but a work around.
Start>Control Panel>Unistall Program.
Highlight Microsoft Office 2003>Click on Change Buttom.
When MS2003 Install comes up choose Custom.
Simply uncheck all assistants except for the one you want.
Close and reboot. Next time you open Office, your assistant will load by
default of being the only one found to load.
Hope that helps.
