Vista Operating System & Word 2007 with Equations

I can't get Word 2007 to save a file (*.docx) with equations in the Vista
operating system. Is there a fix that I am missing???

I am starting to think that OpenOffice Writer might work better with Vista
than Word 2007.

Are you trying to save in Compatibility mode? Word 2007 equations are not
backward compatible and you would be better using the original EQ Editor v3
that is still in Word 2007. (Insert, Object, Microsoft Equation 3.0).
