vista - outlook 2000 - webmail problem

I had an older laptop (Windows XP) with MS Outlook 2000 working fine.

I bought a new maching with Windows Vista. Installed Office 2000, including
Outlook.

While in transition, I started using at&t webmail to check my email.

Now Outlook will not receive emails on either the older or new PC!

It says "task completed successfully" when I send/receive.

Outlook 2000 is not fully compatible with Vista, there are some workarounds
If outlook on the vista PC, isnt set up & has received no mail, that has no
connection with your winxp pc problems, that is something else.
On the winxp pc send a test msg to yourself, are there any err.msgs?
