Vista/Outlook 2003: Exchange Server Is Unavailable

Since installing the Outlook Connector, I have not been able to access my
email in my Outlook inbox folder. However, I can access my Hotmail email. I
get the message: The connection to Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable.
Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action. I click "OK" and
a Microsoft Exchange Server dialogue box opens with Microsoft Exchange
server: Exchange and Mailbox:Microsoft Exchange Server filled in. I click
"OK", then get the message: Your Exchange Hosting Outlook Plugin settings
have been updated. Please close outlook and restart. I click "OK", and am
able to access my Hotmail email and folders. Please help. How do I the
server to be available?
