Vista w/Outlook 2002 - where are all my menu options?

B

+Bob+

I have Outlook 2002 installed on my Vista machine... same version as
my XP machine. On the Vista machine roughly half the menu options are
missing.

For example, on the Tools menu, I am missing Send/Receive, S/R
Settings, and the Rules Wizard. The Rules Wizard is the one I am
really looking for. On the Actions Menu I'm missing New Mail Message,
New Message Using, Junk Email. Other menus also lack options.,

I have already turned on "Full Menus"... the features are not there.

Thanks,

Outlook 2002 is not fully compatible with Vista, though that shouldnt impact

What Outlook Files are you planning to move?

Well, first you need to set up an account - they will be there if you do.
for best results, use workgroup mode, not internet... but expect problems as
its buggy and not supported.

Thanks Diane. That page also let me know that the passwords in 2002
would not be saved. With a dozen accounts to manage, that makes it a
non starter.

Looks like MS really, really, doesn't want me to share my mail between
my XP machine and my Vista machine. Vista Mail/OE only runs on vista,
OE-XP doesn't run on Vista, the two versions don't share a common file
format, Windows LIve mail is unusable with multiple(many) accounts, my
version of Outlook doesn't work on Vista... so painful...time for
Thunderbird I guess.

In case anyone is trying this, Outlook 2002 didn't have separate modes.
Diane's instructions are for Outlook 2000.
