I am getting the following error when I open Micorsoft Word while Outlook
is open (Office 2003)

"Microsofrt Visual Basic
Compiole error in hidden module: Auto Exec"

How do I correct this?

Two questions.

1. What happens if you rename your Normal.dot to something else?
2. Is Word the default editor in Outlook?

It means you have an AutoExec macro that has a problem in it. AutoExec
macros run automatically when you start Word. The macro might be located in
normal.dot, or in an add-in (any .dot file in Word's start-up folder --
listed on the Tools > Templates and Add-Ins dialog).

If it's in an add-in, you need to check what the add-in is trying to do. A
quick way to disable an add-in is to change its file extension (eg to .$$$)
then re-start Word.

If it's in normal.dot you should be able to delete it; but you need to ask
why it's there in the first place.
