Visual Basic or C# Code error

Deb

Every time I try to publish my 8-view form to Sharepoint, I get the following
message:

InfoPath cannot buiodl the Visual Basic or C# Code.
The Visual Basic or C# project for this form template cannot be found.
To locate the project yourself, click Browse.

This past Friday, I added a form view and somehow got into VB Studio. I
cancelled out, but now it appears that something was created somewhere.

How do I get rid of it!!

Thanks!

If your form did not contain code and you do not want it to contain code, go
to Tools > Form Options. Click on the "Programming" category. If the "Remove
Code" button is enabled, click it and see whether that helps.

Hello,

Can you check once the below option in your form,
1. Tools -> Form Options -> Preview.
2. In this above option do you have any XML file location is there in ‘File
Location’ text box?
3. Can you clear the InfoPath cache from your machine and try it once again.

Hi Shiva-

I was able to fix this problem using the reply from S.Y.M. Wong-A-Ton ...
using the "Remove Code" in Form Options/Programming.

I am curious about your third suggestion ... clearing the InfoPath cache.
I've seen that suggestion on other's posts and would like to know what the
steps are to do this. I suppose that clearing the cache would be one of my
trouble-shooting methods before posting to this forum.

Thanks!

Hello,

Cache clear is:

You will need to clear the user's Form Cache to "remove" the old templates
since Infopath caches the form to the users:
C:\Documents and Settings\UserID\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\InfoPath

Thank you for your reply, Shiva. I am running Vista and have found what I
think equates to your instructions below at:

C:/users/dfurlong/AppData/Local/Microsoft/InfoPath/FormCache2/2964761F.AA3

I am then presented with 51 folders, with big long undeipherable names.
There are also two files named: _OfflineCache.dat and _SCVer.dat.

In addition to your verifying that I've found the right stuff, what is the
actual procedure for clearing the cache? Do I simply delete the 2964761F.AA3
folder, thereby deleting the 53 objects inside that folder? Sounds dangerous
to me!!

Thanks-
Deb
