Visual Basic Window won't stay closed

I have a Word document which thinks it has macros when you open it. In
reality, it has a reference to Normal, which has macros I've created. I'm
guessing that's causing it to ask if I want to disable macros when I open the
document.

However, as I leave the document open, the Visual Basic window opens all by
itself. I close it, leave my PC for a bit, and come back to find VBA open
again.

Anyone know what might be causing this? If so, please share. Thanks much to
all who read this.

When you leave your PC for a bit does it go into a sleep mode? If so,
then if the VBE has ever been opened while using Word when your PC
resumes (returns from Sleep mode) the VBE will reopen even though you
previously closed the window. Happens to me all of the time.
