Visual C++ Runtime Error on OL Startup

G

Glen

I just upgraded my OS from Win98 to WinXP Home. Now
whenever I start Outlook2000 I get this fatal error. A
dialog box appears. Its title is "Microsoft Visual C++
Runtime library". It goes on, "Runtime Error!" and gives
the path to Outlook.exe. It further comments, "This
application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in
an unusual way. Please contact the applications support
team for more information."

I want to try the suggestion in KB325117 but the program
doesn't run long enough to do it. That would suggest to
me that it would not be the solution anyway.

I have had to resort the webMail until I can get this
resolved. Please send any solutions.

Thanks
