Visual C++ Runtime Library error message

Hi Folks,

All of the sudden, I'm getting a an error message dialog box when I try to
open Word 2000. I'm running windows XP home edition on a Dell Dimension
2400.

The dialog box that appears is titled, "Visual C++ Runtime Library" The
message says:

"Program C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Winword.EXE"

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unsual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information..

I can't open Word 2000 and any help that you can provide will be appreciated
