Visual C++ Runtime Library Error

K

Kelley

Outlook 2002 on Windows XP Home Edition platform. I use
Outlook day in and day out, but started getting this
message today after rebooting due to my
computer "hanging/freezing" for no apparent reason.

"Visual C++ Runtime Library Error. C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~2
\OFFICE10\OUTLOOK.EXE. This application has requested
the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please
contact the application's support team for more
information."

Anyone have any clues? I have renamed a couple of .dat
files based on advice in other posts, but that has not
helped. Prior to that I reinstalled Office XP, but no
change in the error.

Thanks for any guidance you can give! (P.S. I was a
programmer and network person in a former life, so I'm
not afraid to get "under the hood" if that's what it
takes. Although, as an end user I don't think I should
HAVE to!)
