visual ++ errors

When I either open Word or Outlook & post a reply a Visual ++ error comes up.

Microsoft Visual C ++ Runtime Library
Assertion failed
Program:...am Files/Microsoft Office/Office 11/winword.exe
File:\scoring.cpp
Line:133
Expression:ret

Does anyone know why this happens & how do I fix it?? I have read a few
posts & think maybe it is because I use Dorland's Medical dictonary or I have
added some words/abbreviations in my Autocorrect options.

Any help would be great!!:)

The error message is caused by Dorland's or Spellex medical
spellcheckers in combination with Service Pack 2 for Office 2003.
Dorland's and Spellex have released updates to their
spellcheckers to make them work properly with Office 2003 SP2.
To make Word function properly in the meantime until you get the
updated spellchecker files, turn off the Dorland's or Spellex
medical spellchecker in Tools | Options | Spelling & Grammar |
Speller type: Normal | OK.
