Visually Show Links Between Projects When Using Custom Fields

I use custom fields for start and end dates to prevent issues with resource
allocations affecting my Gantt Charts.

Unfortunately I cannot see the links between projects or project tasks when
I show the Gantt Chart.

I have removed all of the Bar Styles and redefined them to reference my
custom fields and since then my links are not shown...

Can anyone help?

Chris,

Links are only shown between bars using "start" and "finish". When you
remove bars based on those fields there is nothing for project to draw the
link from. There is no way around this except for using the regular start and
finish fields to draw your tasks.

I don't understand how you calculate your schedule using these custom
fields. It seems a bit crazy to me. I suggest that you correct your resource
overallocations (or turn off leveling if you must) before you use project
like this. Indeed, without the critical path calculations you may as well use
Excel for your scheduling.
