When I am emailed Word documents (I think generally from PCs) I can
often not see embedded pictures - they simply appear as big red
crosses. I have always thought that this was simply a Mac-PC problem.
However, I have just realised that colleagues who are also Mac users
can generally see pictures that I can't (they are using the same OS
and
the same version of Word). Presumably there is something in my
settings
that stops me seeing them.
In addition, if I copy the (red cross) image and paste it into
PowerPoint it "coverts the metafile" and I can then see it properly
(pasting it back into Word still gives me a red cross!)
Can anybody tell me how to sort the problem?
