Vlookup -blank cells returning zero

D

Deep in it

I am doing a vlookup formula from one workbook (A) to
access the information from another (B). If the cell in
the originating workbook (B) is blank then the value in
the cell of the destination workbook (A) shows 0 (zero).
It also shows a zero in workbook A if the value in
workbook B's cell is zero.

It is important that I be able to differentiate whether
the originating cell was in fact zero or was blank. How
do I solve this?
