VLookup help

What is from with this Vlookup? I formatted all cells as text, copy paste
special value all data, however, I don't receive the data in column 3.

The following is displayed: =VLOOKUP(D7,Data!B711,3,FALSE)

The spreadsheets are below.

5400 Jones Corn
9988 Brown apple
2255 Long Dress
22556 Shaw Shirt

What is in D7?

Instead of D7 in your VLOOKUP shouldn't you have A7 or C7 (custno)?

I am assuming first set is your 'Data' sheet and second set where you have
your VLOOKUP in D7...

Sorry, should have stated the first column is actually Column C. I did not
start the data at column A.

It looks like you need the formula to read VLOOKUP(B7,Data!B711,3,FALSE)

The Lookup_value is the cell that links both sets of information.

Without the column & row headers, it's impossible to tell if your formula is
correct. If you want to email me the spreadsheet, you can:

The value in C7 may not be text, so try it like this:

=VLOOKUP(C7&"",Data!A$7:C$11,3,FALSE)

Alternatively, you might have numbers in your data sheet and text in
your other sheet, so try it like this:

=VLOOKUP(C7+0,Data!A$7:C$11,3,FALSE)
