If the Lookup Value from the worksheet cell is not found in the Table Array,
we are getting a result of one. We would expect to get a #N/A, a blank
cell, a zero maybe; anything except the valid value of one. How do we
prevent this? TIA

Use false

=VLOOKUP(A1,B1:C200,2,FALSE)

will return NA if not found exact match
