vlookup

My vlookup is not working and is returning a #NA.

The lookup_value seems to be the problem, because when I
type the same value over the top of it, the vlookup works.
I've tried the CLEAN and TRIM function, as well as copying
the FORMAT from another cell, but none of this seems to
work unless I physically type over the top of it.

Any assistance? Thanks!

Sounds like your values are being entered as Text. Format your cells
as General. Copy a blank cell. Select your "numbers" and Edit/Paste
Special, selecting the Values and Add radio buttons.

This will coerce Text numbers to real numbers.
