Voice Recognition of Recorded file on a chip

I am interested in recording on a voice recorder, ultimately saved to a chip.
I would like to use the chip as a source for voice recognition to text in MS
word 2003. Is this possible? If so, how do I set this up?

Thank you in advanse.

Thanks for the info Bob. Looking at the possibilities in that arena, I tried
playing the file to a speaker and put the mic close to the speaker. Not the
best results. I have not tried playing a voice recorder audio direct to the
mic. I will try that. Back to my original question, is there any way to
play a voice file direct into the voice recognition system?

The default software won't. There is a 3rd party "Dragon Dictate"
hardware/software package that sounds like it does what you are
attempting.(dication off site followed by after the fact voice recognition)
