Can I use the Apple Voice Recognition software to dictate
into Word or do I need other software?

Hi

Apple's voice recognition has limited capabilities. It's primary purpose is
to assist those who want or need to have finder commands executed by speech.

To handle the rigors of dictation you'll need a more robust tool. IBM's
ViaVoice is just the ticket.
