voice recording in Power Point is distorted. Fine in Sound record

have recorded sound in Power Point for years. My new fancy Dell records voice
fine in Sound Recorder but not in Power Point. My old laptop records fine in
both. Same version of Power Point, same microphone. Help!!!!!

Hi,

I seem to remember something about this. I think when you record, turn off
any other line in or wave ports. Right click the sound icon, Open Volume
Control and mute any that do not interfere with your record interface.
Please lemme know how that goes.
