VPN & Dial-up Networking

I am trying to connect to the internet using a VPN program
that I have. When I try, I keep getting this error
message:

"Unable to find VPN adapter on this machine. Please check
your Dialup Networking installation and try to install
this again."

I have tried reinstalling and have tried selecting VPN
adapters but so far nothing has worked. Any suggestions?
