VPN: keeping messages on server

Hi there,
Configuring a new computer and I've forgotten how to get this to work.

Using Outlook (Office 2003). Want to keep office email on server but
messages are downloading. Using a VPN. Set up email account using Microsoft
Exchange Server. When I set up the account it said I had to use Tools to
change settings is I want to keep messages on server but I can't figure out
the trick. Is there one, or did I set up account wrong and shouldn't use
microsoft exchange server.

And, if I get this fixed, can I send the message back? :)

Thanks!
Las

Do you have it set up with a pst locally or your exchange mailbox? Use
Exchange mailbox as the default delivery location and configure an offline
store if you want a local copy of the files.

Thank you. Helpful but I haven't been able to find that option. Now I suspect
it's something more basic -- I'm using the 60 day free trial of Office 2003
and maybe it doesn't have all the options. I'll install my office 2000 and
see if I can configure better.

the trial version should have the option to work offline - open tools,
accounts... then change and more settings to find the option. It's normally
the default with exchange servers.
